That Purple Lily

That purple lily, she is good on her own but better with him. Her beauty astonishes on the surface but her true charm comes from within. That purple lily, she is as gentle as a lamb. Her tender petals are felt in her presence even without a touch by the hand.

That purple lily, deep within her is truly as ravishing and pristine as a flower. Emptiness and darkness her light will fill and devour.

That purple lily, her words of wisdom embellishes her outer. She is not filled with daily pride but humbled by every hour.

That purple lily, she is calm and pleasant, not a pastry but she is truly sweet. Her love for God is shown in her conduct and her speech.

That purple lily, she is mild, kind and tender. She gives without expecting returns because she is generous not a lender; truly a woman of virtuous character.

That purple lily, she is not carried away by anger but slow to speak and quick to hear. She is grounded in faith and rids herself of fear.

That purple lily, she is courageous and virtuous her essence is admired by many young and old. That purple lily, she is not afraid to hold firm her standards; a woman very bold.

That purple lily, she is dressed to be modest and pure enough to be seen. Earlier she was mentioned to be kind but with her body she is mean.

That purple lily, she does not desire to be an exhibitionist so no opportunity will be given for lustful eyes to catch even her high thighs.

That purple lily, she is like a different flower but only based on her attire, for the way she clothes her body is like a shrinking violet. Her womanly mind set is not “every man”, but only her husband’s desires should be met.

That purple lily, she considers the way she looks as she does not seek to make herself available for any thirsty prey, because she knows if that’s her intention, she will be wronged at the end of the day.

That purple lily, she loves the creator deeply, and also loves herself and others equally.

That purple lily, she knows that she is always to be prepared; keeping her lamp filled with oil and held high,

That purple lily, she stays sober on her lows and her highs, remaining firmly seated for she knows her King's return is nigh.

That purple lily, at the end of her road is success; God is within her, so her life is truly blessed. That purple lily, for her failure is not an option she will win and not so much because of herself, but due to him who is within, and that’s the King of Kings himself.

That purple lily, cannot be shaken she is as sturdy as an oak tree, never thrown off course, or plucked from her saviour’s hands, oh so unmovable is she.

That purple lily, yes! It is who I desire to be.

That purple lily, she covers the head of her soul mate. She is always caring, encouraging and guiding him; amazing and admirable, WOW such loving traits.

That purple lily, she is not greedy but everything she gets she truly appreciates. Her words are of love; they are wholesome and ones no one would hate.

That purple lily, she is kindhearted, and embodied with grace and therefore receives honour from God all her days.

That purple lily, she keeps her hands busy making no room for idleness as she knows that such a route leads to the enemy's nest. She puts her all in what she do, giving nothing less than her best.

That purple lily, she is to be praised not because of her beauteous face, but deserves honour due to her never changing faith.

That purple lily, she aspires to please Jesus with her very being. God favours her because she waits in humility, to see all the promises by Jehovah revealed.

That purple lily, she trusts her Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omni present God and knows that his words are the solid truth.

That purple lily, during all her seasons of life she stands firm in God and continues to bear fruit.

That purple lily, her heart is not perfect but she aspires to be like him who created the universe and beings.

That purple lily, she always ensures to be good to all; even to the ones who treat her terribly mean.

That purple lily, she stay true to her character, as in the garden of many thorns and other flowers her pollen tube protrudes; pollinating to the world love, peace and truth.

I wanted to share this poem I wrote several months ago to encourage other females to work on their inner beauty also because at the end of the day that is what really matters. I want to live a life pleasing to God above anything else and it is that overflow in Jesus that should be the most attractive thing to my future husband. Be encouraged and motivated queen, and work on your inner beauty in your current season; whether you are in a time of singleness, dating/courting, engaged or even married. Don't just want a better version of yoursef, but prepare for it, work towards it and you'll see yourself becoming it. Fix your crown queen!!!
